Did you try migrating from a MAc or Windows?
Migration from 2012.2 on Mac is not supported.
I am migrating in Windows.

Try this:

  • Revert the migration by restoring your project from the .backup folder
  • Delete the following file "Presets\Default Work Unit.wwu"
  • Migrate again your project

I tried removing the <GroupingInfo> tag from the file you mentioned ("Presets\Default Work Unit.wwu"), and the migration was successful. I would like to know if it will result in loss of any info. If yes, how can I add the info in the migrated project.
This will affect the objects of type Switch Container in the Preset folder.  The Presets are not used at runtime, and will most likely not affect your project.  More about presets here: https://www.audiokinetic.com/library/2015.1_5418/?source=Help&id=using_presets_overview
Thanks Bernard for your help.
