Hi Audiokinetic! Can I just check that you guys are working towards an update for building Wwise with Unity 5 onto Android 6 (Marshmallow)

At present, the issue is that on android version 4 and 5 in the log output there's a warning:
"libAkSoundEngine.so has text relocations. This is wasting memory and prevents security hardening. Please fix."

In Android 6 this is now an error not a warning and causes the library to not link so all functions depending on it then fail.
Android 6 is already out on Nexus devices and is supposed to be coming to Samsung devices in the early part of 2016 .

Any info appreciated,

Cheers, Matt

What version of Wwise are you using? We've just tested this here using 2015.1.4, and we are able to deploy to a Nexus 5 running Marshmallow without issues.

Hi Benoit, we're still on 2015.1.3 becuase when I upgraded I got that bug asking for a box collider on every Game Object. Until that new patch is released, do you forsee any problems with running 2015.1.3 alongside the .so plugin from 2015.1.4?

We've done a quick build test and it seems happy enough with that as a fix for now but any known issues your side?
Hey,

I don't see a problem with using the 2015.1.4 .so with the 2015.1.3 integration.
Great thanks for the feedback Benoit. We'll go with that for now and let you know here if all is OK.

All the best,
Matt
