I am working in Unity and have a system set up which spawns AstoundSound RTI enabled audio sources every few seconds. The AstoundSound works great for individual sound sources, but for some reason after the third one is spawned the sound gets much louder and stays there, despite more sources being spawned.

Every sound source is playing the same audio file from the same soundbank via the same Play event. I suspect this is part of the problem. Is there a better way to play multiple instances of the same sound conocurrently?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

You can trigger your event once only in the game if you use a Random or Sequence container set to play your sound in:

  • Play Mode: Continuous
  • Loop Infinite
  • Transition Type: Trigger rate
  • Duration: your choice (you can also set a randomizer to this value if you want an irregular timing).

Hope this helps,

Simon
