I'm trying to build my own Wwise plugin, using 2016.1.3.5878. So far, I've taken the Tone Generator plugin, and changed all of the plugin and company names and ids (to my knowledge)- both in the VS project and in the XML file. The plugin appears correctly in the authoring application, but when I load it, instead of there being the small UI, there's a message that says "Source plugin not installed". When I open the plugin to get the full UI, the panel is blank except for a similar message that says "Note: The selected plugin is not installed.". I can't find any indication of what might be causing this, either in the docs or by searching the source code in Windows, and was wondering if anyone in the community had any insight.

I think I've seen this message before, try installing the plugin, then restarting wwise, and then test that the plugin works. I also work with both wwise 2015 and 2016, if you do the same make sure it's the right wwise version.

I've tried restarting Wwise, which doesn't work. I'm only using the most recent version (as in, I only have the most recent version installed), and so there are no other versions to conflict.
