Hi,

we create a UE4 game with vehicles and splitscreen. How would I create the vehicles engine sound so that there are 2-4 distinct sounds in total?

I thought of haveing a rtpc value for each vehicle that controlls its own sound. The caveat here is that this would require copy paste events. Can I do that somehow else?

You can create only one car structure/event in Wwise and get multiple instances of that car in UE4. Simply trigger the car event(s) from different Game Objects (each GO being a different car).

Thanks for the reply... but how would I use a different game parameter for every instance? In that case the velocity?
Obviously, the velocity per car is not set in the Wwise project per say, but at runtime by the game engine (Game parameters can be updated by the game globally or per game object).

If you code yourself, you can check that part of the SDK documentation or find a programmer to look at it: https://www.audiokinetic.com/library/edge/?source=SDK&id=soundengine__rtpc.html

Hope this helps,
