This would be great to cut off transients for sounds like gun tails when you're close, and have the transient play when the remote player is far away. I could also see it being used in many other instances.

To add to this, in general, I think it would be great to have some conditional if-then arguments that could be applied to event actions.

This is totally doable with envelope modulators where you can control the release time with RTPCs
