Greetings all, i created this post to serve as a general place where the community can share their ideas for the Wwise Authoring API.

My idea is that you will share info or thoughts on how you plan to use it and we can take this info to make it's release that much more awesome. You will also be able to inspire and be inspired by the community on the many options this release might make available to you and your team.

For those who are not aware of the WAAPI, you can read all about it on this blog post : https://blog.audiokinetic.com/en/introducing-the-wwise-authoring-api/

Cheers,

I'm hoping to create tools sets that allow sound designers to more easily import and manage files/events in Wwise from their DAWs.  As well I enjoyed Martin showing off functionality for mixing directly in engine UI.

I could see the possibilities for:
- Simple extensions to streamline current Wwise functionality
- Direct control of Wwise from DAWs
- Control of Wwise direct from engine UI
- Control of mixing/RTPC parameters from external (usb) controllers)
- Creation of additional custom tools sets for studios
