Trying to generate soundbanks for REV plugin, produces near-empty files for iOS and Android. Also in WWise "Play" button for REV plugin is disabled unless active platform is set to Windows. .txt sounbank files do not have "Source plug-ins" and "Plug-in" media sections compared to Windows files. We are evaluating with trial licenses for all mentioned platforms.

Unity game built for WindowsStore has no REV sounds - other souds seems to play.

We are building a racing game with Unity - REV is the core piece of our audio experience. Initially we target Win8/WP8 with closed beta starting late July and soft launch early Autumn. We still need to demo Android/iOS versions for potential investors/publishers.

Is it reasonable to expect WWise&REV support on unity for WP8/Win8 in July?

Is REV currently supposed to work for iOS/Android?

John here at CrankcaseAudio.

I am currently working through a pure Unity/Mono version of REV that may be what you're looking for. July should be a reasonable time frame for you to integrate.

Feel free to contact me anytime at john@crankcaseaudio.com

Hi Tomas,

Here are some answers to your questions:

  1. Unity integration of Wwise for WP8 is coming very soon (this June).
  2. REV seems supported by Crankcase for iOS, but we haven't received a working version for Wwise yet.
  3. We don't know Crankcase's plan for Android and WP8.

I'm sending an email to Crankcase to make sure they read this question.

Thanks,

Simon
