Error when importing one of two mono WAVs from the same Stereo source (Adobe Audition)

Stereo file and Left channel WAV import fine, but Right channel WAV gives Error: Unsupported Input Channel Configuration on import. Files derived from Adobe Audition; I tried saving with/without metadata.
