UE Integration Error: "Unexpected token in JSON at position 0"

Hello everyone,

Wwise has been working excellently for me until the past couple of days, when I cleaned my Visual Studio installations. I wiped all traces of VS 2013 and 2015 from the computer to force Unreal to recognize 2017 as its compiler, fixing one nagging issue.

However, after doing so (and this may be unrelated but the timing is suspicious), Wwise stopped launching properly, and now throws an error whenever I try to integrate it with my unreal projects, regardless of version. I'm trying to integrate Wwise 20171.1.6340 with UE 4.17, and Wwise 2017.1.0.6302 with UE 4.16.

When attempting to launch, I originally encountered an error pertaining to a missing mfc120u.dll file, which I gather is related to Microsoft's visual c++ distributions. I've since ensured that they were installed, and while I no longer receive this error, Wwise still does not launch.

When attempting to integrate Wwise into an unreal project of the appropriate version, I receive the message: "Error: An error occurred during the creation of the new Wwise project." The log reads as follows:

Has anyone here encountered these errors before, or have any ideas as to how I could go about fixing them? I'm working on Windows 10 64-bit, and have tried reinstalling Wwise, with no impact on the problem.

I recently fixed this particular error by repairing my installation of Microsoft's visual C++ distribution 2013. Uninstalling it and reinstalling it did not work.
