I'm using the Wwise 2017.1.2.6361 integration with Unreal 4.17.2, and have run into a road block. Supposedly, I should be able to "drag" events, sound banks, etc. from the authoring tool into the content browser at the bottom of the Unreal Editor. But dragging them into the content browser does absolutely nothing, and I don't even know where to go from here. I can "create" Ak Events and Sound Banks from the content browser manually, but I doubt they're actually linking to anything.

Any ideas on what could cause this?

Hello Caleb, in Unreal Integration you need to use the "Wwise Picker" that is available from Window > Wwise Picker in Unreal 4. This is what you should use to create your events in the content browser: just drag and drop events created in Wwise from the Picker to the Content Browser. See documentation for more info https://www.audiokinetic.com/library/edge/?source=UE4&id=features__editor.html Hope this helps !
