I keep getting this error when i open Wwise Launcher - self signed certificate in certificate chain

This could either be:

  • Your organisation has a firewall that replaces the security certificate for each connection. Please contact the network administrator to change this behavior for audiokinetic.com
  • You have an anti-virus installed that replaces the security certificate for each connection. Please disable the anti-virus for the time of the installation.

To bypass this issue, on Windows:

  • Create a new empty file at location: %APPDATA%\WwiseLauncher\json\settings.json
  • Copy paste this content:

    "allowInvalidCertificate": true
}
  • Shutdown Wwise Launcher
  • Start Wwise Launcher
  • Retry downloading

The procedure to bypass the issue on Mac is the same, the only difference is the file location. The file should be created in the "Users/YourUserName/Library/Application Support/WwiseLauncher/Json/" folder on a macOS system.
