Why oh why is there no autosave function?

The amount that Wwise freezes and crashes under OSX is frustrating, especially after a whole day of work being lost.  Why is there no autosave function like with every other piece of software on the planet??

Please for the love all that is sacred in this world, do what every other developer's tool does and add autosave. Why would you put us through such torture? ;)
