Hey guys,

I'm learning through the wwise 251 course and have noticed a few sound design jobs around there all requiring AAA project experience. Here in the UK I find it very difficult to find a junior dev team so I can get more experience before going to game studios. I checked the gamedev group on Reddit but not much useful, also things like GDC are only happening in US. Can you give me some suggestions on how to get some real industry experiences as a starter? Thank you.

my suggestion would be to focus on your sound design work. produce a showreel of 10 to 15 mins of work of which you are proud. that combined with a little bit of wwise knowledge ( or at least a capacity to learn it ) is what would be looked for in a junior hire. you can pretty much ignore the requirements, if they are hiring - apply! if they are not hiring apply anyway. good luck!
