Wwise-301 Lesson 2 Attenuation Spheres not visible in Unity 2018.4.19f1 (Solved)

0 votes
Hello!

I'm working on the Wwise-301 Unity integration course and stumbled on a problem.

When activating Show attenuation sphere to Current_Event_Only or All_Events on AkAmbient component in Unity I dont see the spheres. I have done everything just like in the course instructions and Max attenuation metadata is selected in the project settings of Wwise.

Is something in the later version of Unity or Wwise possibly the reason or something I dont know about?

Thank you!

Unity version:  2018.4.19f1

Wwise version: 2019.2.0.7216

Hey Saku,

Sorry to hear you are having problems.

Did you download the Wwise Adventure Game 2019.1? If not, I would suggest you to get that one instead.
There are various other changes that differ in those versions, that you might not have come to yet.

Hope this helps!

Hello!
Thank you for the fast answer. Tried to load Wwise Adventure Game 2019.1 but the Spheres were not visible there either but then I tried to download Wwise 2019.1 also and in that version the spheres work.

Thank you!

Same happening to me and I'm just following the 301 2nd lesson steps. Is there no solution other then to install a previous version of WAG?

I'm using Unity 2018.4.17f1, Wwise 2019.2.3 and WAG 2019.2.0.7216

Thanks

Hey Alessandro,
Depends on how accurate you want the course to be. You "can" continue with that version, but you should expect things to look slightly different and therefore less "comparable" with what you see in the screenshots.
I'd say, the safest solution is to use the Wwise Unity Integration version we thoroughly tested and updated the course for, and then you won't need to unwind yourself from errors or repositioned settings while also trying to learn how to use it.
