Stoping ak ambient in unity

In my game at the begining of each scene I have an akambient event play (the random container the event is refrencing is on loop). Yet at the begining of each new scene the ambient event keeps playing even when the akambient effect is no longer in the scene. I have tried posting a stop event in the script of my level changer but to no avail. I feel like im missing somthing!

Hey Chris, 

Sounds strange indeed. 

Are you using the Large mode or Multi Position mode on that AkAmbient? Maybe try setting the position type to simple mode and see if that works. And have you tried stopping the event with the 'Action On Event' option in the AkAmbient? Like the image on this page
If this is of no help, you could try profiling the looped sound. Like... does the stop event show up? Did the stop event stop all instances of the sound? and so on.
