Help: getting "Error: The format of the file is invalid" message upon loading!

Hi! I'm having a problem loading a project. As soon as I attempt to load it I get the message:

"The format of the file is invalid.

Error: Element 'MusicClipMidi': Missing child element(s). Expected is one of (ReferenceList, MidiSourceRef).

File: C:\blah blah blah...\Interactive Music\Hierarchy\Default Work Unit.wwu

Line: 2195

Column: 0"

 

The project then does not load, unless I delete then Interactive Music Work Unit. Is there any way I can salvage this without having to rebuild the Work Unit? It's baffling because it was working fine yesterday.
