I have tried a couple of methods in Wwise 2013.2.5:

1) Switching a 2D quad file to 3D and configuring a user-defined listening position path to the cetner, while unchecking the Follow LIstener Orientation.

2) Importing 4 mono files into a blend container and assignng each one to user-defined speaker position paths and leaving Follow Listener Orientation unchecked.

Neither method worked. Is this currently possible to expect?

Hi Rodney,

I think both methods can more or less result in what you are looking for. I would go with option (1). An important thing to do is to set the spread to 100 for all distances; you need to use an attenuation curve for this. However, you might find that your quad channels leak a lot into neighboring speakers. In Wwise 2014.1 you can mitigate this by setting the "Focus" (new attenuation parameter) to 100.

Xavier.
