Hello, I accidentally pressed 'deny' to allow remote connections when first opening Cube. Big Mistake. So now, when I open Wwise, and try to find my computer as a remote connection, my computer doesn't appear. I have entered into my computers system preferences, and allowed incoming connections into Wwise and Wwise Launcher, but my computer does still not appear in the allow remote connections list within Wwise. Does anyone know a solution, I would love to fix this issue so that I can continue with the next steps into learning how to use Wwise.

  • In Windows Settings, Go to the Windows Defender Settings
  • Click the "Allow an app or feature through Windows Defender Firewall" link.
  • Search for Cube and Remove all the entries for it
You should get the Firewall Prompt the next time you start Cube.

Hello Bernard, thank you so much for your response, but I use OS X, how would this process be in OS X??
Yes, I went into my system preferences, went to firewall, and allowed incoming connections into Wwise and Wwise launcher, but still my computer OS X does not appear in the remote connections box in Wwise, it's very strange. I also tried connecting through my IP address but it stays loading all the time, it goes on buffering forever. It's very strange, I wish a pro or a specialist could try all the different things to fix this issue, using zoom or something, because I have a feeling it is complicated to fix.
Did you also try to Allow Incoming connections for Cube?
I literally just allowed all of the terminal documents within Cube, and my computer is still not appearing in the Remote Connections box within Wwise. I also have tried opening Cube from Wwise Launcher, but it doesn't open now.
Still in 2025, same issue.
Mac book pro 2018, OS Sequoia everything was running until the point I had to use the remote connection in the wwise software:  tried firewall settings, tried IP, just can't connect with the game, my computer does not appear in the list, never did.

Hi there,

I had the same issue. I'm using Mac Studio and I had the same prolem. I pulled out the ethernet cable and I used via Wifi and its worked. I got crazy for a week that I didn't understand the problem. I searched for network setup but I didn't find. I realy don't understand why its works with Wifi and why not working via cable, but its working in this way...
