My company will soon develop a game on UE5 and I wonder if will have the Wwise integration ready for it soon?

Hi Arthur,

The first release that will support UE5 is slated to be the next Wwise 2021.1 version, but it will be "early access" so don't expect full functionality or Launcher installation. Then after Epic releases a non-early-access UE5 version, a Wwise version supporting UE5 will be published.

I guess we should be able to start developing under the current last version of Wwise and UE4 to later project transplantation.

How is Wwise going to integrate with Metasounds?
We're working with Wwise + UE4, looking to update to UE5.  On the UE5 branch we are working with, Wwise is not working because Epic removed Matinee which is something Wwise depended on.

We don't need anything fixed immediately here, but I was curious if the fine folks at Audiokinetic were aware of that and if they know how that will wind up getting sorted out.  Will there be an update needed to Wwise, or might Matinee come back into a future UE5 revision?
I've checked the latest version available (2021.1.6.7774) and don't see a version of the plugin for 5.0.

Is this still not yet available, or is there a different means to access the early access version?

I would like to check the timeline for UE5 Release 5.0 integration now that the UE5.0 is finally released to public.

Wwise 2021.1.8 will work with UE5 and is planned to be shipped very soon.
