I am trying to set up simple Footstep switches in Unreal Engine. My Profiler tells me that the switches get triggered, but "whatever" I do, I'm always stuck on the Default Footsteps.

I have followed this Youtube Video for the Unreal part of the Setup and did the Wwise Setup as shown in the 101 Course Lesson 3.

I am really not sure what went wrong, I tried a a lot of stuff to get it work in Unreal but since the Switch Command is showed correctly in the Profiler, it appears the Problem is within Wwise?!

Thanks in advance and greetings,

Michael

问题关闭原因: Found a solution. And it was Unreal related after all. I now use a Switch on Enum as seen in the documentation and everything seems to work fine.

Hey Michael,

No exactly sure what step is missing to make yours work, but did you check out this section in documentation or this One Minute Wwise video
Maybe comparing your setup to those two resources might help to see where the problem lies?

Hey,
thanks for the answer. I've seen the Wwise Video yesterday and while it's really helpful, I think I followed the steps that relate to what I want to achieve. Gonna look into the Documentation to create Integrating Footsteps thoough.
I really dont get it. I mean, it should be a Problem in Wwise since the switch command reached Wwise, right?!
All I did in Wwise was creating the Switch Group, Switches, Switch Container and Random Container with the Sound Files in it and assigned those Random Container to the Switches.
Gonna create new Project, start fresh, and just follow the documentation you send...

Edit: Found a solution. And it was Unreal related after all. I now use a Switch on Enum as seen in the documentation and everything seems to work fine.
Thank you
Great news Michael. Good luck with your project!
