When setting ranges on an RTPC - incoming data from a game could exceed these set ranges.
In the past (maybe this still happens?) this would cause issues with blend-containers that stopped working when and RTPC exceeds its set range.

A method for clamping the incoming data to never exceed the ranges set in wwise could be useful:

Example

  • Data is send to wwise for a vessel that can go from zero to infinite speed
  • For this vessel, the implementation focuses on a small speed range at the start (o to 10)
  • Data can be choppy, so a slew rate is added (a time based slew is deemed too rigid for this scenario)
  • Once the vehicle exceeds the range set in wwise and goes back to zero: It will take a long time for the slew rate to catch up.

Request:
Add an option so that an RTPC's value cannot exceed those set in the RANGE field.
