Version
The Source Editor displays all the properties associated with the Synth One plug-in. You can create different audio tones by modifying the various property values.
Tip | |
---|---|
To avoid clicks that may occur when transitioning between pure tones created by Synth One and other one-shot, unlooped sounds, use a fade-in and fade-out of 5 ms. |
Interface Element |
Description |
---|---|
Name |
The user-defined name given to this instance of the Synth One plug-in. |
Source Plugin |
The type of source plug-in. |
Notes |
Any additional information about the Synth One plug-in. |
Input | |
Frequency Mode |
The source of the input frequency used by the oscillators. Base Frequency: frequency is obtained from the Base Frequency property MIDI Note: frequency is obtained from received MIDI note events Default value: Base Frequency |
Base Frequency |
Input frequency for oscillators in Hz; enabled only when Frequency Mode is set to Base Frequency. Default value: 1000 |
Oscillators | |
Waveform |
Type of waveform used to create the oscillator’s output. The following waveforms are available:
Default value: Sine |
Transpose |
Transposition of input frequency, in cents. Default value: 0 |
Level |
Level applied to output of oscillator, in dB. The level is applied before the oscillators are combined. Default value: -6.0 |
PWM |
Pulse Width Modulation, in percent. Note that setting PWM to 50 bypasses all associated computations, improving performance. Default value: 50 |
Invert |
Whether the output of the oscillator is inverted or not. Default value: false |
Noise | |
Noise Shape |
Type of noise generated. The following noise types are available:
Default value: White Noise |
Noise Level |
Level applied to output of noise module, in dB. The level is applied before the output of the noise module is mixed with the combined oscillator outputs. Note that setting the noise level to -96 bypasses all associated noise computations, improving performance. Default value: -96.0 |
Quality | |
Over-sampling |
If over-sampling is used to generate the oscillator outputs. Enabling this option improves sound quality, but decreases performance. Default value: true |
Output | |
Operation Mode |
How the oscillator outputs are combined. The following output modes are available:
Default value: Mix |
FM Amount |
Frequency modulation. This value determines how much of oscillator 2’s output is used to generate oscillator 1’s output. Note that setting FM to 0 bypasses all associated computations, improving performance. Default value: 0 |
Output Level |
Level applied to the final signal (combined oscillator outputs mixed with noise generator output). Default value: 0.0 |
