Settings Dialog Box

In the Settings dialog box, you can define the file name suffixes that the Multi-Channel Creator will use to identify which channels exist for each audio file. Different suffixes must be used for mono and stereo files. You can also specify how files of different lengths will be handled when they are combined to create a multi-channel file.

To access the Settings dialog box, click Settings > Settings in the Multi-Channel Creator window.

Interface Element

Description

When file lengths are different

Determines how source files of different lengths are handled when combined together. You can choose one of the following options:

  • Abort operation - Stops the generation process for the specific file, but will continue to generate other files in the batch.

  • Pad shortest files with silence - Makes all source files the same length by adding silence to the end of the shorter files.

Suffixes

Set mono channel suffixes

Channels

The different mono audio channels that make-up a multi-channel audio file.

Suffixes

The letter or letters that represent the different audio channels. These suffixes must be appended to the end of each source file name so that the Multi-Channel Creator can identify which channels are contained in a particular audio file.

Set stereo channel suffixes

Channels

The different types of stereo audio channels.

Suffixes

The letter or letters that represent the different audio channels. These suffixes must be appended to the end of each source file name so that the Multi-Channel Creator can identify which channels are contained in a particular audio file.

Anonymous configuration separator

Define a suffix separator for anonymous configurations. Suffixes for such configurations are defined as [suffix separator for anonymous configurations][number]. For example, type "." as a separator. Then, an example of a valid suffix would be ".45". Leave the field empty to disable anonymous configurations altogether.
