Release Notes - Wwise Unity Integration 2022.1.1.8100.2644

This release delivers the Wwise SDK update for Wwise 2022.1.1.

Compatibility:

  • Wwise SDK: 2022.1.1
  • Unity: This integration compiles against Unity 2020.3, 2021.3 and 2022.1. It was tested against Unity 2021.3.16f1. Any Unity version more recent than the aforementioned is not currently supported, but will be in a subsequent patch release.

Miscellaneous Changes

  • WG-62355 Improved Unity Spatial Audio code according to best practices.

Bug Fixes

  • WG-62061 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Duplicate room visualization in Game Object 3D Viewer when moving a room during playback.
  • WG-62388 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) Room previously associated with AkGeometry is not updated properly.
  • WG-62411 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) AkRoom does not scale correctly after transforming its parent GameObject.
  • WG-62690 Fixed: After migrating, the following errors appear in the Unity console:
    • WwiseUnity: The platform SoundBank subfolder within the Wwise project could not be found.
    • WwiseUnity: Could not find source folder for <Assets> platform. Did you remember to generate your banks?
    • NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
    • Asset import failed, "Assets/WwiseData/Banks/iOS/Subtitles.bnk" > NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
  • WG-63116 Fixed: (Spatial Audio) A deadlock encountered when updating a geometry set that overlaps a portal.
  • WG-63119 Fixed: Errors are thrown when stopping an AkAmbient.

Fixes for Community-Reported Bugs

  • WG-62051 Fixed: Modifications to the AkGameObj position offset aren't saved properly in a prefab.
