Hi all, I've been messing around with Wwise ability to spatialise sounds and I'm getting a loss of quality when swapping to Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos (less so in DA). Does anyone have any tips to retain my audio's quality?

I've made a video so you can hear (and see the loss of quality).

Audio Object loss of quality

Thanks.

Thats not a loss of quality, its the way the spatialisation works. Your "bed" sounds are going from stereo to being used as objects (positional), this needs to be routed to the bed stream if you want to use them as stereo.

This should also be experienced on headphones, not on speakers.

I want these sounds to be spatialised, which is why they are coming through as Audio Objects.

The sounds are being routed through my Master Audio Bus, which has it's Bus Configuration defined by the System and I'm changing the system from Stereo, Windows Sonic and Dolby Atmos during the video.

I somewhat understand the filtering (HRTF) functions that take place in order to enable spatialisation but you can see by the EQ I've got set up in the video and by just listening to each example that there is a change in frequency response/loss in quality.
That will change when you move the sound around. An Object is positional so the EQ will change when you move it around based on its relative position to the listener.

Each spatial implementation does these things differently (I worked on the DTS Sound Unbound system), but its just not HRTF its a combination of multiple things to spatialize it.
