I am trying to attach a AkSwitch to a object in my enviroment that is a checked as a Static GameObject. A Pillar in the room, the effect I am looking for is when I strike that pillar with my sword it checks the switch and plays the correct sword sound. But so far Nothing unless I uncheck it as a Static object.

Could you attach physical surfaces (let's say Stone) to the pillar, and then tick off the 'Hit Events" in the Collision details panel. Then when the sword hits the pillar, you can send the physical surface information (Stone) to change a switch, so Wwise plays "sword_stone_hit" and if the sword hits a log right after, it'll switch to "sword_wood_hit" for example.
