I tried to install Wwise SDK on my laptop with the hope of teaching myself how to use it, but ran into an error message during installation about Microsoft Visual C++. There should be no issue with my Win7 copy or need to repair this file.

Has anyone experienced this or know enough about the software to understand?

Do you have the exact error message?

It could be that some dependencies are missing on the machine. I was once directed to verify that DirectX runtime is installed: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/download/details.aspx?id=35
