Wwise launcher will not install

Hi

I am having issues trying to install the launcher on my machine. When executing the file I get the error message "There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor" I have tried to look into the admin permissions, it doesn't seem to be the the problem. I have tried disabling and re-enabling permissions, this did not solve the problem. i have tried running checkdsk, this did not work either. I am running a windows 10 64 bit machine. Any advice would be most welcomed. Thanks

Have you tried restarting the computer?

Mine gets stuck at "Downloading Authoring.x64.tar.xz..." which looks like it is 98% downloaded until it hits this wall.

New update but still stuck with this error:
Error Error: Checksum validation failed for file: Authoring.x64.tar.xz.
