Hello,

I did a search for this, but couldn't find anything. We recently migrated to Wwise 2017.2.2 from Wwise 2016.2.3 and noticed some very strange behavior with HDR enabled sounds going through User-Defined Auxiliary Sends.

It seems that the volume values over the HDR threshold get added in amplitude to the Aux send. For instance: Our HDR threshold starts at 0, I have a sound with the volume set to 30, the aux level is set to -10. When the sound plays, the aux bus is receiving  signal at +20dB,  Seemingly from the volume of 30(HDR) and the -10 taken into account.

This is very unexpected strange behavior indeed. I wouldn't expect HDR values to add amplitude to a signal simply by being routed to an aux bus. It sort of defeats the purpose of an HDR system in the first place.

Am I missing something?

Thank you.

It seems pretty unfair that I should have to use one of my support tickets to point out a Wwise bug.

Is this normal that I should have to do this?
