Hello

I'm studying the 101 certification and there are some issue. First, not shotgun event as referred in the course, but a magic stick, so to say, with magic gems I suppose. Don't get me wrong, this was useful in order to search for the real event name in the profiler and fix it successfully in my project. Of course now I have to launch my saved project every time or change always this name event in the course given project. No big deal, anyway.
But now I got similar issue with the teleport sound. I hear no teleport sound after completing lesson four, and the capture monitoring gives me the message EVENT ID NOT FOUND Teleport(Entity#77) as a pre-connection error. The event name given in the course is Emitter_Teleport and I created in event tab and generate the relative Soundbanks. I thought this event name was wrong too, but there's no way to insert Teleport(Entity#77) as a name because I understand it doesn't accept # and/or brackets, and naming it just Teleport doesn't work the same. And probably "entity#77" could be not the name but something else. I could have made something wrong, of course, but since there was this discrepancy between course names and game event name from the beginning I'm doubtful. Am I making something wrong, or are some instruction of the course wrong? Someone had the same issue?
Thanx in advance to anybody can help me.

For anyone who runs into this problem in 2023 - read to the end of the tutorial properly.

Spent 2 hours redoing this tutorial, trying to figure out why this event wasn't triggering, thinking I had the wrong name for the emitter, but it was because I missed the part at the very end that reminds you to drag the new event into the Soundscape before generating it.

So I had the event set up, but forgot it doesn't automatically add itself to a generated soundscape. Rookie mistake.
Hi, I know this is in 2025 now, but I ran into the same issue, and I did drag the event into the Soundbank, how can I fix this? It's driving me crazy, and I don't want to move on to the next lesson until it's figured out

Hey Paolo,

Sounds like you downloaded Wwise 2021.1.x instead of Wwise 2019.1.x. Please follow the installation instructions, and make sure you have the correct version.
Why? Using a newer version won't necessarily be accurate to step-by-step descriptions, images, etc in both documentation and quiz. So it's definitely more safe to take it using the version specified in the installation instructions.
