Using WWise with processing or c++, is this possible?

We have an interactive installation with sound but due to portability and ease of setup I want to port the sound to WWise in order to have it work well. Is it possible to adress Wwise from something else than unreal or unity by means of c++ for example?

Thank you.

Sure, the core API of Wwise is in C++.  You will have access to the complete SDK in C++.

For an example, you can look at the Integration Demo C++ sample in:

Ok thank you. I'm still lacking visual basic but looking through the code I can't find any events being called. How would one go about this, either calling events made in Wwise or changing parameters.
In that case you should start by reading a bit of doc to get the whole picture.  You can find the SDK doc in C:\Program Files (x86)\Audiokinetic\Wwise v2013.1\SDK\Help.  The section about Events is in Sound Engine Integration Walkthrough » Integrate Wwise Elements into Your Game » Integrating Events
