The playing sound is assigned the same Early Reflection Auxiliary Bus in the Authoring Tool that has been set via AK::SpatialAudio::SetImageSource. Use a unique bus to avoid image source conflicts.

An Early Reflections Auxiliary Bus assigned to a sound in the Authoring Tool conflicts with the bus passed to AK::SpatialAudio::SetImageSource.

Probable cause:

  • An Early Reflections Auxiliary Bus assigned to a sound in the Authoring Tool, has the same bus and is playing on the same game object that was passed to the API function, AK::SpatialAudio::SetImageSource. A single instance of Reflect cannot recieve image source data from both the geometric API and from the SetImageSource API.

Recommended resolution steps:

  • If using the geometric reflections API and the SetImageSource API in conjunction, be sure to specify an Auxiliary Bus to SetImageSource that is unique from the Auxiliary Buses defined in the Authoring Tool for sounds that will be played on the same game object. This can be achieved by creating a duplicate of the desired Auxiliary Bus containing the AkReflect plug-in, and assigning it to the conflicting sound. This will ensure that a unique bus instance is created for the sound.
