Wwise Unreal Integration Documentation
Release Notes 2022.1.8.8316.2811

Each version of this integration matches a specific build of Unreal Engine. Here is what has changed in the 2022.1.8.8316.2811 release of the integration (in addition to upgrading to the new Unreal build).

Note:
This integration does not support experimental Unreal Engine features.
Note:
This integration was compiled against Unreal Engine version 4.27, 5.1, 5.2, and 5.3. It was tested against Unreal Engine 5.3. Any major Unreal Engine version more recent than the aforementioned is not currently supported, but will be in a subsequent patch release.

  • WG-54758 Fixed: Audio spike in left channel when exiting Play in Editor mode.

  • WG-67304 Fixed: Unreal Editor freezes during loading phase.
  • WG-67466 Fixed: AK Libraries are not sorted deterministically in UnrealBuildTool (UBT) build script.

Fixes for Community-Reported Bugs

  • WG-64458 Fixed: Crash when closing the Unreal Editor while the Generated SoundBanks warning is shown.
  • WG-66614 Fixed: The Query API function GetListenerSpatialization() erroneously takes a listener index instead of an AkGameObjectID.
  • WG-66848 Fixed: Unreal's FinishDestroy is used instead of destructor to finalize the async resource unloading, leading to a hang or crash.
  • WG-66881 Fixed: Crash when calling PostEvent with a callback without an actor.
  • WG-67270 Fixed: All SoundBanks metadata file SoundBanksInfo.(xml|json) is missing the "Hash" field for User-defined SoundBanks that were not generated.
  • WG-67357 Fixed: Outdated assets can appear twice in the Wwise Browser.
  • WG-67362 Fixed: Selecting from one Project Explorer with the Wwise Browser connected updates all Project Explorers.
  • WG-67370 Fixed: Execution Queue ignores tasks if posted while worker thread is stopping.
