No default Switch value selected in group ...

A Switch Container was set to play on a Game Object that had no Switch set on it. Therefore it tried to fall back on the default Switch but there isn't any default Switch value selected in the Wwise Project. Note that the default Switch value can be left unassigned as long as there is always a Switch value set on the Game Objects.

Probable causes:

  • There is no default Switch value set on the Switch Container.

  • There is no Switch value set on the Game Object before the Event is posted.

  • There is a default value selected in the Switch Container, but the SoundBanks are not up to date.

  • There was not enough memory to fully create the Switch Container.

Recommended resolution steps:

  • Make sure there is a default Switch value set in the Switch Container.

  • Make sure there is a Switch value set on the Game Object where this Switch Container is playing.

  • Regenerate your music SoundBanks and redeploy.

  • Check if there are "Memory allocation failed" errors appearing in the Capture Log. If yes, read on about how to fix that error here: Memory allocation failed.
