This is a followup for WebGL + Wwise Addressables – SoundbanksInfo.xml Not Generated (Unity 2023.2.20f1 + Wwise 2024.3.8749).

Thanks for the help Philippe! That actually solved it - the SoundbanksInfo.xml is now being created properly and the addressable groups are generated automatically.

(Side note: using Wwise Picker > Generate SoundBanks in Unity didn't generate the SoundbanksInfo.xml for me. I had to generate it manually from the Wwise Authoring app.)

Now I’m encountering another issue:
While the addressable groups and sound banks appear correctly, during build I get this error:

error CS0266: Cannot implicitly convert type 'object' to 'AK.Wwise.Unity.WwiseAddressables.WwiseSoundBankAsset'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?)

It seems like AddressableBankManager is trying to access a sound bank as an object and fails to cast it to the correct type.

This is not known, it could be a bug on our side. You should contact Support or submit a Bug Report; this is not the proper channel to submit issues to Audiokinetic.

Thanks, I already reported a bug, but still haven't heard bug.
My fork solves this issue: https://github.com/danielambrits/WwiseUnityAddressables

You were right, it was just simply a missing cast.

I've also opened a pull request, hopefully it will be applied into the main repository.
